World's Premier Old Car Rally Makes a Stop in Franklin

The Hemmings Motor News 2017 Great Race, the world’s premier old car rally, stopped in Franklin Tuesday, June 27. 2017. 120 of the world’s finest antique automobiles were in town, arrayed around the Johnson County Courthouse. One entry, a late 60s Toyota 2000 GT from Japan, is valued at over $1.5 million, only 351 200 GT’s were produced.

The race covers more than 2,100 miles in nine days. Beginning in Jacksonville, Florida, it ended July 2 in Traverse City, Michigan.  You can learn more about the Great Race on their website.
