Greenwood native Abigail Lessaris is a featured dancer in the Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre presentation of SUPERHERO; The Story of Man Called Jesus. This year’s performance is Abigail’s sixth time performing in SUPERHERO. In this year’s performance, she Portrays The Cross and Pilate’s Wife, Claudia.
When asked about the show she says “I love the representation of Palm Sunday at the beginning of the show. The students run on with palm leaves in the air and there is a burst of color as Jesus makes his first entrance. It’s an explosion of excitement.”
The production is a story of betrayal, trust, sacrifice and great love. SUPERHERO is masterfully set to modern music and movement. SUPERHERO has been lauded as “exquisite,” “captivating from start to finish,” and “a most moving portrayal of The Passion.”
